The caged dipole antenna atop a building at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, NY
Steiner Studios
This antenna exists on a roof top in the Steiner Movie Studios in Brooklyn, NY. It's part of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Click on the photo for more details about the studio. Pictured is the interesting antenna, quite complex in construction. I've had reports that it is called a caged dipole. Used by the Navy for ship to shore communications.

The studio is huge with 285,000 sq ft of space.

I recently discovered this studio last month driving in the area. Brooklyn is a huge borough and it could probably survive as an independent city by itself. There are many treasure troves to be found in Brooklyn, NY; like the Steiner Studios.

Wouldst appear it's a dipole of some complex design. A very sturdy structure.

I am in search of more details regarding the specifics of its electrical parameters.
An end element with flat coil arrangement.
The construction is eloquent in design. I think it can can operate in most of the high frequency bands from 80 through 6 metres.
